Reader Reviews from First Look
This was one of the best books I have read in a while. There was so much going on in it. You had action, adventure, romance, mystery, betrayal, everything you could imagine. This book is great for anyone that likes to read. You will never get bored with it. I highly recommend this to anyone that likes to read.

Spy Goddess, Book One: Let Live and Shop is an excellent book. The author Michael Spradlin writes an about a girl who is sent to an academy for misbehavior. Spradlin way of writing from a girl who is used to living by her own rules is masterfully done. When forced into this academy, poor Rachel has to learn to do some pretty weird stuff like take fighting classes. The plot is one twist after another that keeps you on edge from start to finish. Expect to never put it down once you start the book.
Julia (Kent, WA)
This is a very good book. You are constantly wondering what is happening and why the events happen as they do. Everything hints toward the outcome, but it still surprises you when it happens. I can't wait for the next book and to see what happens to Rachel Buchanan next.
Tommie (Spanish Fork, UT)
I have to say that I enjoyed this book even though it is something that I don't normally read. I decided to give it a try and found out that I was so caught up in the mystery that I couldn't put the book down!
Diana (Houston, TX)
This book is so friggin' awesome. I mean the cover is so intriguing and the whole book was really magnificently written. I can't wait to read the next one. I'm glad I was able to review this. I love everyone minute of it.
Desiree (Santa Clara, CA)
I really enjoyed this book. It is fast paced, the characters are far from average, and the plot is interesting. The ending twist makes this book stand out from its counterparts, such as the Spy High series. Part mystery, part fantasy, and part high school story, this book will appeal to fans of many different genres. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Spy Goddess, Live and Let Shop, the first book in an exciting new series about female spy Rachel Buchanan is quite a treat. Full of action and adventure it can please both sexes, while still maintaining the flair of chick lit. A great read, I look forward to more.
Daniel (Trinity, AL)
In the beginning I really felt that the book would be a boring waste of time, but once I got past the first ten pages I found that the book was full of mystery. I can't wait for the second one to come out! (There is a second one, right?)
Ari (Austin, TX)
A good read. While the plot is the usual "rich teen girl busted for joyriding and given option to avoid jail by going to eastern school which unbeknownst-to-her trains future spies and agents," the first person narrative pulls it together. Along with some supernatural plot twists it holds one's interest. Now, if the author could get a sequel out so I can stop wondering what Rachel does next...
James (Williamston, MI)
A terrific beginning for a trilogy! When Rachel is deserted by her friends while joyriding, she is caught by the police and no one cares, except her friends worry she is going to tell all and her parents find her just too much trouble!!! When at court she gets to choose juvie hall or Blackthorn Academy, she decides not to go to juvie hall. This decision starts a whole new adventure and mystery and perhaps a new life! What happens to one when you know you can only count on yourself and know there is no reason to trust anyone? The unexpected! I can hardly wait for the second book to be available! The story never stops and if fun to read. I would recommend this novel to everyone!
