Life is a maze.
You are a maze.
Amazed.

I'm not a natural poetry lover. I've learned to appreciate poetry. This book of poems, however, is very easy to appreciate. The topics are real. The language is not so deep that I can't grasp the core meaning, but they're not fluffy either. My favorite poem is "The List". I love that is not just about a passion for reading, but also about a passion for the physical book itself.

I really enjoyed reading A Maze Me. I found six poems that related directly to me while the other poems reminded me of past experiences and feelings. I really recommend this book of poems to all girls worldwide as it truly relates to the life experiences of females across the globe.

I have never been fortunate enough to come across one of Ms. Nye’s works; by reading the introduction to this collection of poems, I realized that I have been truly missing out. Every poem that she wrote could be applied to my life in some way. Her poems opened a new door in my mind; these poems allowed me to look inside my soul and ponder situations I would never think about. Ms. Nye's unique point of view also helped shape several of my point of views into something new and exciting; I now realize that every day is special. I now know that everyone is unique and that if you look closely you can see things in a different light. It’s possible I knew all these things from the start but Ms. Nye helped me recover them. A Maze Me truly Amazes Me!

This isn't your average poetry book; at least not the ones I've picked up in the past. The subtitle is "Poems For Girls", but I think these poems appeal to everyone, not just females. Some of them I really identified with like "Poor Monday" and others didn't make any sense to me at all.
